Euodia buds
These are the buds of the Australian Native Euodia Tree (Melicope elleryana). The flowers attract birds and butterflies including the beautiful Ulysses butterfly.
Grasping-at-Straws
Both me and the passionfruit vine, lol. I'm a bit sick, it's raining...
Let me count the ways...
My grandson, Gareth!
Snail's Pace
I think these guys have the right attitude to life... slow and steady wins the race.
Oh Baby...
Finally got to meet the newest little grandchild and what sweet little chubby cheeks we have. He is just adorable but no name yet.
Dianella
This is a little Dianella flower with it's shiny blue berry in the background. Another one from the Boondall Wetlands, Brisbane.
Surprise!
This little spider hides on the flower hoping he's camouflaged enough that the insects don't see him. He then pounces when they land. I took another photo of a small moth on the flower, when I looked at it on the computer it was a dead moth being held by one of these little spiders. Would have been a great photo but the focus was a bit off.
These are fabulous Sheralee! I absolutely love that snail! We don't see land snails around here much. I've seen them in Florida and I saw one in NY last Feb. but I've never seen one where I live. Probably too cold. They can be very destructive can't they? We have slugs which are like a snail without a shell. Beautiful boys! That baby photo is just perfect and little Gareth is adorable. Don't you just love it when they use their fingers to count!
ReplyDeleteThanks Viv, the snail was taken in Brisbane where you see them quite a bit and I believe gardeners have quite a bit of trouble with them. We don't get them in the garden much at all up here, although I do have them in my pond but they aren't pretty at all.
