I'm just guessing this is a girl since she's preparing a nest. She would have to be the most docile wasp I've seen as I accidentally ran my finger under the nest thinking it was a fairy light?! She just sat there. She also went about her business while I took numerous photos with my macro lens.
Jan 30 - mmm Butterfly
So Chel (@Chel) and I went to Boondall Wetlands today to take some photos. Apart from being totally eaten by mozzies we found plenty of interesting things to photograph. I have so much trouble snapping a butterfly, they move too fast for me usually. She looks like she has MMM written on her wings.

Just recording this as the day Yasi had us all terrified. I'm ringing my husband every hour or more for updates. We aren't in the eye though. Just hope everyone can be safe xx

This is one I took a while ago. I was quite busy babysitting while my newest grandson came into the world.
All I can say is WOW! These are gorgeous and I'm talking about both sets. The last time I checked here you hadn't put either set up. I love the MMM butterfly and the spider and hornet and wishing puff and hurricane symbol. Everyone one of them is fabulous.
